QUESTION:

Am I, as a member of the District Eleven Advisory Council of the Department of Health and Rehabilitative Services, required to file a statement of financial disclosure?

Your question is answered in the negative.

Please find enclosed a copy of a recent opinion of this commission, CEO 76-57, which addresses the same question. Accordingly, you are not a "local officer" within the meaning of that term as it is defined in the Code of Ethics for Public Officers and Employees and therefore are not required to file a financial disclosure statement.
